Chateau de Corcelles

Set in the heart of the pleasant Beaujolais hills Château de Corcelles raises its turrets into a preview of mild Mediterranean skies.
This historic monument is the soul of a hundred-hectare wine estate that makes the appellations of Brouilly, Beaujolais Villages, Beaujolais, Rosé Beaujolais and White Beaujolais.

We use integrated vinegrowing techniques on the estate. This is the use of just the right combination of organic and chemical methods that are necessary for the balance of the soil and vines.

Our quality approach includes the use of a set of specifications that fix precise production regulations and tracability of everything that has been done plot of vines by plot of vines.

We have been using integrated vinegrowing techniques at Château de Corcelles for 10 years now and today we are particularly focussing on grassing between the vines and on further respect for the environment.

All the grapes harvested from the different estates are vinified at Château de Corcelles in a vatroom where we have 20 thermo-regulated stainless steel vinification vats and 1 pneumatic press.

The grapes are vatted after strict sorting

Maceration lasts from 5 to 12 days depending on the appellation. During this phase our methods to obtain concentrated, structured wines include pumping the run off juice over the cap or removing some of the run off juice.

Maturing of the different cuvées continues in the vats. Assembly and bottling is followed through by an oenologist and adheres to the tracability specifications.

Bottling is carried out at the Château, for which we have been using a special bottle, which is exclusive to the estate for 30 years. Great care is taken over final presentation, all our wines are presented in our exclusive bottle on which is hand-placed the wax seal of the arms of the Marquis de la Magdelène Ragny family
