A little tourism
Winemaking estates, co-operative wine cellars, brokers, a wine school, commented forest hikes, restaurants and country inns where they freely share their know-how.
Some of them go under the Secrets de Terroirs brand that was set up by the Rhône-Alpes region. Information : www.beaujolais.com, under "Le Pays Beaujolais / Secrets de terroir".
Pierres dorées (golden stone) clothed in ochre and light, russet autumn vines, villages nestling in the hollows between undulating hills, textile traditions and tasty farm produce from the wooded hills, the Pays Beaujolais is open to visitors.
Information : www.beaujolais.com, under "Le Pays Beaujolais".
Les Rendez-vous Beaujolais is also a great opportunity to visit the nearby city of Lyon, it’s architectural wealth has earned it a place among the UNESCO world heritage sites.
